About event
The World Of Hans Zimmer's “A New Dimension” show, after filling the MEO Arena, is back on December 9th this year. Curated by Hans Zimmer himself, this is an unmissable concert where the greatest hits of one of the greatest composers in history can be heard live.
Powerful. Beautiful. Dramatic. Breathtaking. Strong. Exciting. This is the music of two-time OSCAR® winner Hans Zimmer. In 2024, the successful show The World of Hans Zimmer returns to the road with a new musical program and a world tour passing through Portugal. “A New Dimension” already suggests this: an all-new selection of Hans' own grandly diverse collection of scores for The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension – in which audiences will be taken on a unique musical journey that will immerse them in dimensions completely new.
Since 2018, with the concert tour The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration, this show has become a worldwide success, impressing the cities it passes through. Hans Zimmer himself does not perform live in The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension, but serves as its curator and musical director, saying: “My aspiration with this new show is to preserve the culture of the orchestra and allow the audience rediscover the unique facets of orchestral music. There are many backstories I would like to tell and longtime companions and friends I would like to introduce [to the public].”
Hans Zimmer's extraordinary melodies and modern compositions captivate a huge base of fans all over the world through generations and growing constantly. Zimmer has composed for numerous international box office hits, such as the films “Dune”, “James Bond – No Time To Die”, “The Lion King”, “Gladiator”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “The Dark Knight” trilogy ”, “Interstellar”, “The Last Samurai” and the recent “Top Gun: Maverick”, among others.
With The World of Hans Zimmer, the “Hollywood Rebel”, as he is nicknamed, created a live experience full of glamour, animation and emotion that takes the MEO Arena stage on December 9, 2024 for an unmissable show.
