Are you ready to experience one of the most innovative and groundbreaking rock bands ever? The Young Gods are back! For more than 40 years, they have challenged and redefined the rock genre with their unique blend of electronic sampling, rock and experimental sound art.
The Young Gods revolutionized rock music by using the new technology of sampling in a way no one else had thought of. In a world dominated by Anglo-American music trends, they offered something completely different-a music that was both huge and avant-garde, with roots in Europe.
Their first two albums, 'The Young Gods' and 'L'Eu Eau Rouge', have been considered pioneering where they managed to create a new, elementary energy. Instead of recycling old riffs like so many others, they rediscovered the fire of the music, and their simple formula-drums, voice, samples-became revolutionary.
In 1992, The Young Estate Global gained global recognition with the album 'TV Sky', which received massive MTV rotation and was praised by bands such as U2, Bowie and Nine Inch Nails. But the band has never been a band that just follows a formula - on the contrary, they have constantly challenged themselves. "When you have a formula, it's important to challenge it," says Franz Treichler.
The Young Estate has never been afraid to experiment and explore new musical landscapes. Each record is a new chapter in a story of creativity and courage, and this also applies to the group's next play, 'Appear Disappear', which will be released on June 13 via Two Gentelemen.
'Appear Disappear', is a reflection on our role in the world's problems and our ability to take a stand. With a number of sharp reflections on the world around us, this album is deeply marked by its time when we face military conflicts, massive surveillance and intimate dramas. It is a musical journey through tumultuous times.
