Legendary sonic innovators perform Terry Riley's iconic In C for the last time
The Young Gods return to Prague to perform their interpretation of Terry Riley's In C one last time before the release of their new album (Fall 2025). an exceptional meeting of two greats, i.e. a classic of American minimalism by Terry Riley, and a respected Swiss band. Born in 1935, Riley is a key figure in contemporary music whose work has inspired several generations of artists. The Young Gods revolutionized rock by combining guitars with samplers. The dialogue between these two pioneers is the basis of an exceptional recording and concert performance.

The Young Gods return to Prague to present their interpretation of Terry Riley's In C one last time before the release of their new album (autumn 2025). The composition was written in 1964 and is often referred to as the first minimalist composition. In C contains a total of 53 short parts, each of which can be repeated any number of times. According to Riley's instructions, the movements must be played in the correct order, but it is not necessary that all of them are played. The piece does not have a fixed length; it can last a quarter of an hour, but it can also last several hours (Riley's recommendation is between 45 and 90 minutes).
