Theater Malinka - Rapunzel
Event by: Kulturhaus Spandau & Freilichtbühne
Location: Mauerstraße 6, Mauerstraße 6, Berlin - Bezirk Spandau
About event
Puppet theater for ages 3 and up, duration approx. 45 minutes
Locked up in her tower, Rapunzel longs for variety, friends and adventure. But the “weird old woman next door” has arbitrarily appointed herself Rapunzel’s new mother and will no longer let the beautiful young girl out of her tower. But then the young Prince Harald von Harzenstein enters Rapunzel's life and causes a lot of excitement... The fairy tale tells us a story about isolation, control, growing up and love.
The convertible stage set made of folding wooden elements is a central feature of this production. The locations of the actions transform before the eyes of the spectators. One results from the other. The protective parental home becomes an unclimbable tower of loneliness. This then collapses into a wide, desolate desert, a place of longing and silence, but also of new beginnings.
Card phone: 030 – 333 40 22
Entrance fees: €6.50 / JKS €4.50
