About event

(Français en dessous)

Actors who would like to deepen their skills in the field of physical theater have the extraordinary opportunity to get to know specialists from various schools of European physical theater and thus to be able to compare themselves directly with mime according to Marcel Marceau, “Mime Corporel” according to Etienne Decroux, biomechanics according to Meyerhold and other contemporary formats.
What characterizes the different directions? Where are there points of contact? Who influenced whom? Where can new connections be created? And above all: What do they mean for concrete practice on stage today?

The work in the workshop consists primarily of practical exercises and is deepened by videos and discussions. The media library for dance and theater of the International Theater Institute - Center Germany is available as an information base. At the end of the workshop, the results of the week will be presented in a public showcase.
Artistic directors are Tony De Maeyer, Anke Gerber, Lionel Ménard and Oliver Pollak.

This workshop is aimed at young artists in the performing arts: professionals (up to 35 years old) or in training (up to 30 years old), from France and Germany.
