Focus Georgia

The presentation of contemporary Georgian drama and theater, associated with the presentation of the Georgian drama, staged reading and discussion with Georgian guests. Games from the new Proceedings of the Georgian drama in translation Andrea Adamovičová, released specifically for the New Drama/New Drama Festival 2025.

Zuzana Kyzeková and Matúš Krátky perform in theater plays. The dramas of the selected landscape uses diverse forms of artistic and professional presentation. In 2025, he focuses on the Georgian drama and theater, and their historical context and contemporary diversity will be presented as part of the event The Assembly Professor Lela Očiauri, head of the Department of Film Critics and Theory at the Georgian State University Tbilisi. It provides a more extensive perspective, which, in addition to art and theatrical work, touches on the issue of perception of cultural traditions, knowledge of national identity, the transformation of post -socialist societies, the processing of historical beams, the protection of civil rights. These topics serve as stimulating inspirations for the study of fields of departments, dramaturgy, acting and theater studies at art schools, as well as literary science, history, political science, sociology, culturology, ethnology and anthropology at universities and universities. The anthology of the Georgian drama in Slovak translation reveals the cultural wealth of this interesting country and at the same time it is a testimony of the present and the history of Georgia. The selection of theater plays in the Proceedings reflects a diverse artistic vision. The authors of Data Tavadze, Laša Bugadza and Levan Culadze represent a variety of theatrical approaches, but connects their efforts to authenticity and courage to name the problems of the contemporary world. They are among the leading personalities of contemporary Georgian theater, experimenting with new forms, disrupting the traditional structures of drama and theater.

Texts reflect current social and political issues, while not afraid of controversy and criticism.

All three authors are actively involved in protests for the European future of Georgia. Andrea Adamovičová.
