About event
Paul Dano, Jude Law and Alicia Vikander star in a dark political thriller about power and a world where reality and facts are created behind closed doors.
90s: The Soviet Union has collapsed and a new world is emerging on its ruins - chaotic, predatory and ruthless. Vadim Baranov, an extremely bright and intelligent young man, unexpectedly finds himself in the very center of power, although he comes from the world of art and television entertainment. He becomes an unofficial adviser and architect of the public image of the inconspicuous man from the secret services - Vladimir Putin. Baranov controls words, images and illusions. Behind the scenes of the Kremlin, he creates stories that shape the new Russian reality. He teaches Vladimir how to talk to people. How to replace truth with manipulation. How to turn faith into a tool of control. The only person Baranov can't control is Ksenia—a woman who reminds him that there is another life outside the shadow of the Kremlin.
