About event
The next part of the Silent Nights cycle will bring a magical combination of silent film and live music. President Lourajder's intense DJ set will this time revive Dzigu Vertov's avant-garde experiment - Man with a cinema camera.
The legendary film poem takes us on a visually stunning ride through the Soviet cities of the 1920s.
With a camera over our shoulders, we follow everyday life in Moscow, Kharkiv, Odessa or Kyiv - from busy streets to factory halls. Vertov celebrates the modernity of the city and its vibrant life without words or actors.
Sunday | 22. 3. | 19:00
The film is shown in its original version with Czech subtitles.

SILENT NIGHTS
Silent Nights is a long-term concert series that combines silent films from 20s and 30s of the 20th century with live, custom-composed music by contemporary experimental musicians. The project brings unique audiovisual events to Bratislava, in which cult works of early cinematography become a living medium capable of resonating with today's viewers.
The aim of the project is to bring historical cinematography closer to the contemporary audience through an original format that goes beyond traditional film screening.
