About event
On 20. November tipBerlin invites you to an exclusive tour through the exhibition "Unicorn. The mythical animal in art" in the Museum Barberini .
The unicorn has fascinated humanity for thousands of years - as a mythological creature, religious symbol and fantasy figure. The exhibition in the Barberini Museum is, for the first time, comprehensively dedicated to the artistic representation of the mythical animal and shows around 150 works from antiquity to the present. On display are paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, textiles and installations, including important loans from museums such as the Musée du Louvre, the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Albertina in Vienna.
On an exclusive tour after the museum closes you can experience the exhibition in a special atmosphere and learn more about the meaning of the unicorn in different eras, cultures and artistic contexts. Afterwards we invite you to a champagne reception - ideal for exchanging ideas with other art enthusiasts and ending the evening in style.
