Tomáš Bede: Svetlo tmy zeme

The first author's exhibition of the sculptor Tomáš Bede, entitled The Light of the Earth's Darkness, encourages a look below the surface of the earth's materiality. The author consciously penetrates through the layers with an effort to get closer to the very essence of natural potential.

He uncovers hidden, gloomy and silent, but at the same time actively working layers, which at a given moment materialize and coalesce into indefinite forms. Through the contrast of these layers, the author dichotomously reflects the perception of light and darkness, which act as a gesture of penetration and mutual difference.

The exhibition space is thus the center of the renewal cycle, where the conscious processing of natural material constantly passes from the point of creation to the point of destruction. It thus allows a relaxed response to the layering, which here becomes fluid and adaptable.
