About event
After the emotional farewell to CITY in 2022, Toni Krahl, the unmistakable voice and face of the legendary rock band, will return to the stage with a new musical project from November 2025. Toni Krahl is going on tour throughout Germany with his “KINX from Prenzlauer Berg”. Also in his luggage: his first solo album "Genauso war's" - a work that is full of profound and at the same time familiar songs and follows on from his stage career spanning over 50 years.
Toni Krahl, who already wrote music history as the frontman of CITY with hits like "Am Fenster", feels a deep longing for the old songs after the band's end. In order to rekindle this passion and gather his fans - the tight-knit CITY community - around him again, he founded his own band: The KINX from Prenzlauer Berg. However, this constellation promises much more than a continuation of the CITY era. Krahl uniquely combines the band's classics with his fresh solo material, which tells deeply moving stories and reflects his artistic development over the last decades.
With "That's exactly how it was" Toni Krahl once again proves his ability to transform autobiographical experiences and social topics into catchy and meaningful songs. His tour will offer an exciting mix of new material and the unforgettable CITY hits that not only awaken nostalgia, but also once again demonstrate his powerful stage presence.
As the singer of CITY, Toni Krahl sold over 15 million records and sang at more than 2,500 concerts in front of around 10 million people. Now he is starting another chapter in his unprecedented career with his new band and solo album. The KINX from Prenzlauer Berg are more than “CITY 2.0” – they are a natural but at the same time surprising development of a rock legend.
