About event
Tony Hadley, born and raised in London, thought his future lay in medicine until, as a young lad, he won a singing competition on holiday and decided his calling was singing... The rest is history!
Tony became the frontman of the 80s New Romantic band Spandau Ballet and gained a reputation as one of the greatest singers in popular music. The band had numerous chart-topping singles and albums worldwide, including the epic "Through the Barricades" and of course the international number one "True" and the unofficial anthem of the London Olympics "Gold."
They were global superstars in the mid-80s, but relationships fell apart and the band split in 1990. Despite two well-documented reunions that were critically acclaimed rockumentary film Soul Boys Of The Western World, Tony permanently left the band in 2017 and returned to his successful solo career of writing, recording and performing.
