About event
Singer-songwriter Tony Rose (Scotland) and harmonica player Mark Nessmith (USA) say they first met in Austin, Texas in the early 1970s, haunting the same pubs and dance halls. Whether you believe it or not is up to you. Regardless, today they play Tony's original songs, stealing tunes from fellow members of Prague's Band of Jakeys and friends who are now scattered across the planet. They also draw from the deep well of country giants like Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.

Singer/songwriter Tony Rose (Scotland) & harmonica player Mark Nessmith (USA) like to tell people they first crossed paths in Austin, Texas in the early '70s, where they haunted the same beer joints and dance halls. Whether you believe this or not is up to you. Regardless, these days they play Tony's original songs, steal tunes from fellow members of Prague's own Band of Jakeys and from like-minded travelers now scattered around the planet. They also draw from a deep well of outlaw country giants like Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.
