We are pleased to invite you again to a travel evening at the Topolčian Retro pub, this time exclusively hosted by domestic travelers. Anka will tell us about what it's like to travel along the fabulous Spanish trails to Santiago de Compostela, and Tomáš will remember what it was like when he and his friend Šimon hitchhiked from Topoľčany to the African Gambia.

Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage route to the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela, to which hundreds of thousands of pilgrims go every year. People do not go on the journey only for religious reasons, many want to get to know themselves or to get to know a beautiful country.
Anka traveled to Santiago three times and walked the Camino Portugal, Camino Del Norte and Camino dos Faros. This year, she embarked on the most famous Camino Frances route and walked another 605 km. This evening I will talk about all my travels, practical information such as what is it like with accommodation, food, what does a typical pilgrim's day look like, but most importantly....what it all gave Anke and how each of us will manage the journey.

19:30 Tomáš Pastierik – Hitchhiking to Africa
Hitchhiking through Europe and then through five African countries. Sometimes even more with a step than a step... that too is a travel adventure, which the organizer of the event Tomáš will tell us about. Together with their friend Šimon, they covered more than 8,000 kilometers in 4 months and got to know really intense countries like Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, until they ended up unplanned in the smallest African state - The Gambia. What is it like to travel with a thumbs up, a backpack on your back, not having a strong plan but instead a strong feeling of freedom? You will learn about all this at this lecture... 🙂
