“57 years on the scene means something and it leaves a mark on a person. The band and I are a bit like a history textbook. A lot has changed since the second half of the sixties, when we started playing with the band. But the way the fans enjoy our music hasn't changed, and that's great and I'm very happy about that. I'm really looking forward to seeing you in December at the Karlín Forum. I don't want to move anywhere else," says Michal Prokop enthusiastically.
The Christmas concerts of Michal Prokop and his guests are known for their unique atmosphere and often represent the highlight of the autumn concert season. Fans can look forward to popular songs like "Kolej Yesterday," "Blues about swallowed words" or "Battle of Charles Bridge," supplemented by songs from the successful album "Mhilo bi to bejt nebe." This time too, the program of the Christmas concert will be enriched by a number of interesting guests. Their names are kept secret for now, but it is certain that they will be prominent personalities of the Czech music scene, just like in previous years.
To make matters worse, Michal Prokop is preparing a new album with his band Framus Five, which should be ready by the end of this year. Several songs from the upcoming album will be premiered at the Christmas concert in Karlín Forum. A music video will be created for one of the songs. The Supraphon publishing house should release the new album in the spring of next year.
