History of T&R Band began in 1961, when the traditional club Bratislava was established and a short time later (1962), an independent orchestra Revival Jazz Band was created. These two musical formations were very important on the music scene until the "traditional" (after the emigration of its three members in 1970) disappeared. In 1972, the orchestra partially followed his legacy in 1972. An important milestone of the history of traditional jazz in Slovakia was the year 1985, when the natural combination of orchestras Revival Jazz Band and the new tradition was created and the legendary traditional Revival Band was also known under the abbreviation T&R Band.
