About event
Train to Skaville has the pleasure of announcing Stranger Cole for the first time in Barcelona. This Jamaican legend made his singer in 1962 and this November will visit us accompanied by The Jeggaes and Memi Sillah, musicians of our house who will delight us with a memorial at Phyllis Dillon never seen so far.
Stranger Cole was born in Kingston in 1942 and since childhood they were called "Stranger", because no member of his family was resembled.
His first success was as a composer of 'in and out the window', which was a hit by 'Monty' Morris. This allowed him to compose his first album in 1962, achieving success instantly with songs such as 'Rough and Tough' and 'When You Call My Name' (a duet with Patsy Todd) and produced by Arthur 'Duke' Reid de Treasure Isle.
This success was followed by a few singles in the mid -60's with Duke Reid, and almost simultaneously with Duke Reid, and almost simultaneously with Duke Reid He started working with the great "coxsone" dood and Prince Buster. He usually opted for the duet format, grabing with artists such as Ken Boothe, Hortense Ellis and many others. They said he felt more comfortable singing, as he was a little embarrassing.
but that's not all! We will open at 8pm and you can have dinner in the room while enjoying the selection of the Sound System FM. At the end of the concert we will continue to burn alone until 6 am with the guest selectors. To begin with, we will have our friend and designer of this magnificent poster Mr Buddy Records, from L'Hospitalet and with the suitcase loaded with reggae La Helena Fabregas, we will also have the Claire Retro Girl Resident and founder of the Rhythm and Blues Destination 2165 Club. And to finish the night's tanning, we will celebrate the 14th anniversary of the great M & m Sound.
Point the date on your agendas. It will be another memorable night in the Upload Room! href = "https://www.fourvenues.com/sotasons/events/train-to-skaville-bcn-station-01-11-2025-1C51 "> https://www.fourvenues.com/es/sotasons/events/train-to-skaville-bcn-station-01-11-2025-1c51
