Kiez Training CommonKiez November 20th, 2025 - Become an organizer in Neukölln

Do you want more community in the house, a livable courtyard or a place where neighbors support each other?
Or do you notice that loneliness or excessive demands are an issue in your neighborhood - and would like to do something for neighborly cooperation?

Then come to the Common Kiez - and become active for a strong one Togetherness and a neighborly culture right on your doorstep!

Together with others from Westend, you will learn how real community can emerge from initial conversations.
In cooperation with the mobile district work of Ulme35, we will open a method kit for you with tried-and-tested action ideas and community organizing tools that will help you:
- Find fellow campaigners
- Plan a first meeting
- Step by step into action come

You will get concrete practical examples, practice conversation situations and be accompanied so that your desire for change becomes very concrete.

Trainers
→ Lou Rosenkranz – Organizing Lead at KommunalKiez, active in European neighborhood and participation projects since 2018. The studied urbanist, moderator and certified train-the-trainer has tested city gardens in Amsterdam, designed urban excursions in Brussels, initiated educational workshops on empowerment across Germany and moderated neighborhood meetings in Berlin where neighbors fought for safe streets, green and open spaces as well as affordable housing and developed solutions. It combines urban sociological knowledge with the methods of community organizing - and turns ideas into concrete changes on site.

Methods
Impulse inputs, small group work, role plays, practical examples from Berlin neighborhoods and existing neighborhood groups

Materials & resources
After the training you will receive from KommunalKiez:
→ a compact method kit with ideas and guidelines
→ Recipes for action / Action cards for the first steps
→ a poster to visualize actions and successes
→ You will also receive access to our online platform, a WhatsApp community and consultation hours - so that your commitment can continue to grow after the workshop.
