Tramhaus en Barcelona

Music calls for music. And the members of the Dutch band Tramhaus know it well. “We always met at the same concerts, in the same rehearsal rooms,” they said in an interview. It was all a question of affinity... but also of pure probability: after all, Rotterdam is not a city big enough for Lukas Jansen, Jim Luijten, Julia Vroegh, Micha Zaat and Nadya van Osnabrugge not to end up meeting and forming a band just when the worst of the pandemic was already behind them. Their first single, in fact, was released in January 2022.

If it's about musical scenes, we can say that Tramhaus could be perfectly part of that post-punk ecosystem that emerged five years ago around the Windmill, the pub in the London neighborhood of Brixton where Squid, Shame and Black Country, New Road gave their first concerts. And the quintet's debut album, The First Exit, speaks that same sharp and angular dialect of rock. Tramhaus will present it on October 9 in Madrid (Wurlitzer Ballroom) and on October 11 in Barcelona (Upload room) as part of a Spanish tour that will also take them to Donosti (October 14, Dabadaba) and Vigo (October 15, Radar Estudios).
