About event

Marmoucha orchestra feat. Aziz Ozouss presents "Trans Sahara Electro", where electronic beats merge with North African, Eastern and Arabian sounds into a hypnotic, multidimensional live experience, during the Sloterplas Festival on September 14 a.s. Under artistic management of EFE Erdals (Dedexgrande) Outside of that.

Ephe takes care of the live-electrronics during this performance, with which he composes and improvises on the spot, supplemented with his impressive game on the trombone. Other musicians from Marmoucha Orchestra and Special Guest Aziz Ozouss play live, with singing, percussion, guitar and traditional North African instruments.

The musical concept is inspired by Efe's fascina route, from Casblanca. This trade route not only brought cultural wealth, but also has a dark history, especially due to the abundant slave trade - a black page in history. The stratification of these diverse aspects is in music, fed by the personal interpretations that the various musicians give to it during the performance.

With a mix of North African grooves, world music and electrobeats, Marmoucha Orchestra creates a watering and extremely dance. Visual projections strengthen the story and bring North African cultures to life. Music, image and social awareness melt together in a unique show that stimulates the senses and makes current themes such as climate change and sustainability tangible in a penetrating way.
