In 2019, Banská Štiavnica shone the first city with the title of "City of Culture", which was awarded by the Art Support Fund. Dozens, hundreds of smaller and larger culinary activities and artistic productions have filled the streets, forgotten even undiscovered places of Štiavnica, its center and periphery. We also lived culture, literally eating it every day. literary center).
And among them sculptor Juraj Gábor. Already at his invitation we knew that Juraj and I wanted to realize something more than just an exhibition at the end of his stay. Something bigger.
By combining forces and energy at the end of 2019, we realized the monumental, sculptural installation transfer / transition in a carefully selected location near the spring pod Červená well. The whole -wood, the construction of the passing staircase (shape allusion to the mining tunnels) hidden in vegetation from the very beginning almost completely blended with the surroundings. I didn't shout here! There was no concrete walking walking through it, nor was it marked by a pre -designed graphic system.
Wood stained beautifully, after the rain it was shiny, in the summer matt, in the autumn through neat verticals pierced sharp light. After 5 years, which have passed incredibly quickly, wooden connecting pins were reported. The statue began to "prick in the side", she needed maintenance to stay here. But maintenance costs something. Not only finance but also energy, care, responsibility. To make everything well set up and the transfer could go through other satisfied visitors and visitors we were looking for a new administrator for the next period. Nevertheless, the work became part of the hiking trails, it gained popularity of visitors and visitors of the city. Pedestrians, pilgrims and hundreds, thousands of shared photos.
