Mind the Gap! Transition to Equality 2025:
On the eve of the International Women's Day 2025 we put women in music in the Netherlands in the Netherlands. What is the balance on the playing field in classical music, pop music, jazz, world, impro and contemporary in 2025?
transition to Equality 2025 goes looking for solutions: what could be better and what can we learn from each other within the different genres? How do we ensure that women get equal opportunities on the playing field and with permits on conservatories?
We share research figures. We discuss social (in) safety with experts in panels and have discussions about parenthood as a performing musician. Panels are interspersed with musical intermezzos of female composers.
bimpro/mind the gap! And Zojazz Stage hosts this third edition of Women in Music in the Zandkasteel in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. Last year we had 25% men among our audience and in our panels, that may be more this year!
This year we have shifted the playing field to all the musical genres.
The day is accessible to everyone: music professionals, press, stakeholders and other interested people.
The NL OFFS vocational associations! 2025: New Geneco, Kunstenbond, BIMPRO, Platform for Freelance Musicians, Creative Coalition, NTB/VCTN, New Music Now!, Buma Rise Up
