About event
The Tranz festival starts in Banská Bystrica and will be presented at three events in Prešov, Nitra and Bratislava in November.
A presentation dedicated to the activities of the Tranz festival, which has been held in Banská Bystrica for three years and presents contemporary phenomena in the world of translated artistic literature to the general public. In its dramaturgy, the event annually presents interesting foreign authors, but especially translation personalities from Slovakia and neighboring countries and their work.
Since last year, a part of the program of the festival organized by Literárna Bašta and the civic association DoSlov has also been the presentation platform Prekladisko, which gives beginning and established translators the chance to present their translation dreams and ideas to Slovak publishing houses.
Tranz activities will be presented in Prešov by Paulína Čuhová (translator and Germanist) and Slavo Sochor (editor, Literary Bastion) from the festival's organizing team.
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in the University Library of the University of Prešov on Ulica 17. novembra 1.
The event was supported from public funds by the Art Support Fund, which is the main partner of the project.
