KSU invites you to the "Go against the current 2024" concert tour on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the release of the analog album "Under the Current" and the premiere of a film about the band.
We are happy to announce that the legendary punk rock band KSU is going on a nationwide concert tour "Go against the current 2024". This unique musical event is organized on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the analogue release of the cult album "Pod Prąd". At the same time, fans will have the opportunity to celebrate the premiere of the long-awaited film telling the story of the band that went from the small town of Ustrzyki Dolne to the nationwide music scene.
The film, titled "Go against the grain", will premiere under under the Superconic Production banner, with Wiesław Paluch as director and co-writer with Doman Nowakowski. This film is financed by the Polish Film Institute, and its cinema distribution is provided by TVP Dystrybucja Kinowa. The premiere of the film is scheduled for September 27, 2024.
The film tells the story of the beginnings of the band in the second half of the 1970s, when a group of young enthusiasts, inspired by punk culture and the Sex Pistols band, decide to form their own music band in contrast to the repressive actions of the then authorities. The main roles will include: Ignacy Liss as Siczka, the band's leader, and Maciej Piotrowski, Igor Paszczyk, Bartłomiej Deklewa and others, who play the other members of the band and their loved ones.
The "Go against the current 2024" concert tour is not only a celebration of an important anniversary, but also an opportunity to relive the spirit of rebellion and freedom that has always characterized KSU's music. We invite all fans, old and new, to concerts that will allow you to explore the history of punk rock in Poland and pay tribute to the work that has stood the test of time.
