On Friday and Saturday, October 31 and November 1, 2025, Trenčín will come alive with a unique audiovisual experience. On the bank of Váh, in the vicinity of the shipyard and the old railway bridge, the artist Boris Vitázek will present his new work Trenčín dolinečka, which will open a series of projects called Echoes.
What will you experience?
The work is based on the interpretation of the folklore song "Trenčín dolinečka", which is often sung with joy and ease in the cultural tradition. In this processing, however, it acquires a slightly melancholic dimension, as a poetic reflection of today's society and its relationship to love, intimacy and mutual understanding.
With the help of laser projectors and surround sound, Boris Vitázek will create a minimalist projection in which he processes the folk motif of Trenčín.
The work is conceived in such a way that viewers can perceive it from different places - either from the road bridge or directly from under the shipyard, where the atmosphere will be even more intense.
When and where?
sound and light. In his projects, he creates audiovisual environments that explore the boundaries between technology, aesthetics and human perception. You may recognize him from Trenčín from the LAF project, where he presented the work "No Wait!".
He is interested in the way image and sound influence our experience of space and emotions, as well as their ability to mediate a silent dialogue between art and the viewer.
In addition, he also works in the field of theater and performance art, where he works with visual language and developing the performers' sensitivity to the sound and light elements of the scene.
