About event
Training for complete dog beginners.
Trainings are free: our motivation is to gradually build a group of passionate trainers with whom we can support each other and help each other in training. We will be happy to share everything we have learned and continue to learn from our trainer. The first meeting with the theory took place a month ago: now, until spring and warmer weather, we will briefly explain the principles of training to the new teams and we will immediately go to the first trails, the so-called firetrails. In the course of training, the handlers set tracks for each other and then work them out. We prepare the first beginner's tracks and one of us accompanies the handler and gives him guidance. For training, you need a 10 m tracker (we can rent it at the beginning) and a harness with an upper lead (we also have a few sizes to rent), gloves for the handler (as protection against being burned by the tracker), and rewards for the dog for three feet (at the beginning, food is best , if you already know that the dog absolutely prefers a toy, a favorite toy, or both). A car is necessary - one dog is always working and the others are safely hidden in the car for now. Beginner tracks are very short and fast - about 15 minutes are needed for one team, but the handler needs to stay to train the other teams as well. Both the time required and the driving distances will increase as the team grows and the tracks become longer and older. To log in, just write to messenger.
