Alexander Dorenberg and Volker Wendt have been delighting their audiences for many years with their sometimes funny, sometimes romantic mixture of poems and songs.
“Sun, Sand & More” is the title of Volker Wendt's current volume of poetry - appropriate for the dark season when people like to dream of sunny days in a beach chair. But in addition to all the “maritime intimacies” (as the title of one of his new poems) there is also a wide thematic range beyond the dune landscape. This is how you encounter e.g. E.g. two Venus flytraps arguing about a vegan diet, a depressed grain of sand or a compass needle that falls in love with the hand of a clock and has completely lost its bearings! But serious poems also have their place in the program, all with classic meters and rhymes.
A perfect complement to this are the emotional songs by Alexander Dorenberg. With guitar and his very special, deep and versatile voice, he presents solo ballads and melodic rock songs, mostly self-written. His repertoire is broad and ranges from German pop with guitar to rap songs made in New York.
The Periplaneta TresenLesen takes place every Friday. There is reading and talking. It's about literature, art and the big questions. Entertaining, sometimes controversial and the dynamics are unpredictable.
Admission: 7 p.m., start: 7.30 p.m., entry €6 / €8.
