Trio Violettes is a group of universal musicians who work as soloists, chamber and orchestral players and who move with insight and erudition in the field of classical, contemporary and avant-garde music. Their collaboration began on an ongoing basis, when they first performed occasionally in a duo or in various other chamber ensembles. Although their professional artistic base consists of different places of work (clarinetist Martin Mosorjak in the State Philharmonic in Košice, cellist Andrej Gál in the Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal in Bratislava and accordionist Peter Katina as a soloist and dramaturgy lecturer at the ŠFK in Košice), in recent years they have been organizing joint concerts more and more intensively, while the priority of the trio is to present world or Slovak premieres of works by contemporary composers. Their main stage remains the Viola Theater in Prešov, where they have so far presented most of the premieres of new works for this group in solo, duo and trio casts. Among the Slovak authors, the Trio Violettes have so far presented, for example, the works of Jul Fujak, Juraj Hatrík, Jevgenij Iršai, Jozef Kolkovič, Petr Machajdík, Jozef Podprocký, Iris Szeghy, Miroslav Tóth and Juraj Vajó, from the world works of Sergej Berinsky, Sofia Gubaidulina, Toshio Hosokawa, Isabel Mundra, Uroš Rojko, Iris ter Schiphorst, Yuji Takahashi and Jukka Tiensuu.
