Dear friends, in August, Tulka Damchö Rinpoche will visit us again and during the long weekend he will teach mind training, a teaching suitable for both beginners and advanced.
Seven-point mind training, Lodzong in Tibetan, is one of the most famous teachings of Tibetan Buddhism thanks to its practical and effective guidance for working with short-term and long-term difficulties that may befall us. This teaching is intended for beginners and advanced, and for everyone, even non-Buddhists. The basis of mind training is the meditation technique of sending and receiving, mistaking yourself for others, in Tibetan, tonglen. It can be practiced by anyone, without religious or philosophical restrictions, thanks to the universality of the virtues it promotes – love and compassion.
