In Late Collection we are fascinated by the history and roots of contemporary dance. We try to bring these ideas from different points of view. We are currently offering an exceptional workshop:

Tuning Scores with Yuri Konjar

Tuning Scores practice was created by Lisa Nelson, an American dancer, improviser and choreographer, one of the prominent representatives of post-modern dance. Tuning Scores are tools with which the performer/dancer improves his perception of himself and others and at the same time expands his options when making decisions in a free (improvised) composition.

Jurij Konjar (SLO) is a dancer, improviser and choreographer who works in the field of improvisation and contemporary dance. In 2010, he began to devote himself intensively to the practice of Tuning scores. For the past fifteen years, he has been constantly researching and writing about teaching improvisation. He created improvised performances Ulysses, Still, For Juliano Mer-Khamis, Monday at Eight (co-director), Poka (co-director), Biodegradables, A report for Contact festival Freiburg 2023 and Despite. Yuri teaches internationally, drawing from his improvised performance and writing practices, Lisa Nelson's Tuning Scores, Steve Paxton's Material for the Spine, and his own experiences with contact improvisation. He created a nomadic, shared workspace called Habitat.
