Turin Brakes in Bitterzoet

Turin Brakes was founded in southern London in the late 1990s by youth friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian. Together with regular band members Rob Allum and Eddie Myer, they still form the core of the band. Their debut 'The Optimist LP' appeared more than 24 years ago and meant the start of an impressive career. In 2003 the successful 'Ether Song' followed with the hit 'Pain Killer (Summer Rain)', proof that Turin Brakes can effortlessly renew without losing their recognizable sound. In the meantime, the band sold more than a million records worldwide, scored seven top 40 hits and brought six albums in the British charts.

Now the band comes in May 2025 with a brand new studio album: 'SpaceHopper'. It is the tenth record of the band and their first new work in more than three years. With the new album they again add an exciting chapter to a rich oeuvre full of warm, melodic indie and folk pop. The single 'Spacehopper' of the same name can now be heard everywhere.
