As part of the accompanying program of the exhibition of living crafts and folk art Krásná práce 2024 in Gallery 1, Štěpánská 47, Prague 1, creative workshops for children and adults are taking place.
We cordially invite you to a course where you can make your own traditional Christmas decorations made of straw. Mrs. Markéta Bartáková has been knitting and tying straw ornaments, teaching and promoting this activity continuously since 1980. An important part of her work is the production of straw common objects, fly paradises and harvest wreaths for exhibition purposes, as well as the repair of museum collection objects made of straw. Mrs. Bartáková is an expert in her field and she is happy to share her knowledge with you. From the workshop, you will take away beautiful, handmade ornaments that will delight not only at Christmas.
On Saturday 23 November 2024, we are opening two shifts: morning from 10.00 a.m. until 2 p.m. and in the afternoon from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. The workshop is suitable for those interested from the age of 10 and accompanied.
The price for the course is CZK 600 per person (material included).
