𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗜𝗥 is a Punk / New Wave / EDM duo from Berlin, driven by a reel. The duo develops their strength by making minimalistic German-language lyrics combined with powerful basslines, guitar soundscapes, synthesizers and dark dance electronic sounds. Without a computer, the two artists Cody Barcelona (electronics, guitar, vocals) and Ian Volt (bass guitar, vocals) work completely analog.
Driven by a sampler, theremin and reel-to-reel, they created a truly unique and raw sound experience.
Together they created a world that is sometimes dark, sometimes satirical-dadaistic, but always techno-sounding music, while not shying away from melodies and pop moments.
TWIN NOIR formed in the spring of 2021, together with their debut LP "TWIN NOIR - 2 Punks and a Tape Machine".
✦ Iggy Pop, the godfather of punk himself, introduced TWIN NOIR on his BBC Radio 6 show "Iggy Confidential" and played two songs from their debut album "Destruction" and "Panik". The show was broadcast on July 23, 2023. ✦
✦ In April 2023, the European music initiative "Europelive" included TWIN NOIR in its list of "50 promising European artists".✦
