Tyler Ballgame still believes in love. He sings about them in his new single “I Believe in Love” from his debut album “For the First Time, Again”, wonderfully beguiling. With charismatic ease, the Los Angeles-based artist sings about the small and big things in life in a way that goes straight to the heart. Even during the creation process, Ballgame knew that the record would change his life. His producer advised him not to write more than the biggest song in the world. No sooner said than done. “I Believe in Love” has a captivating effect, its gentle rawness hits a nerve that calms the soul in overstimulated everyday life. Consisting of twelve songs, the debut album is the small masterpiece of a talented singer whose fascinating vocal color has a direct effect when listening. During his extremely successful tour through the UK and Europe and an appearance at this year's Reeperbahn Festival, the audience was already able to be carried away by the American singer-songwriter's engaging stage presence.

Inspired by singers from the 60s and 70s such as John Lennon, Roy Orbison and Leonard Cohen, Tyler Ballgame's music is influenced by everything from Americana to indie pop. He immediately found enthusiasm at Rough Trade Records and was signed straight away. As the son of a classically trained music teacher, music has always been central to Tyler Ballgame's life. It was she who encouraged him to express himself in music. During the pandemic, the dreary state of the world pushed Ballgame into a depressive phase, but he already knew that music would pull him out. And so the music became a revival, a destined path, because as Ballgame says, that's what he's in the world for: "I think I'm meant to sing for people." Surrounded by talented musicians, Ballgame found his voice, his album is about the way out of darkness and the hopeful finding of meaning in life. Anyone who would like to be transported by his wonderful music will have the opportunity to do so at two exclusive dates in Cologne and Berlin in April next year.
