Clément Michel (1974) is a contemporary French actor, playwright, screenwriter and theater and film director. His plays are translated into many languages and, as a rule, successfully presented in several theaters around the world, where they mostly achieve a respectable and exceptional number of reruns.
In the play A Week and Enough! (Une semaine, pas plus...!) one of the friends, Paul, tells his friend Sophie that the other friend, Martin, has lost his mother and that's why he's moving in with them.
In fact, he hopes that Sophie can't stand such a situation and leaves. Martin moves in against his will, saying that it will be "a week and that's enough!". Thus begins an explosive household in the trio, full of ridiculous lies, pretenses and everyday misunderstandings. The game skilfully overturns the classic elements of the comic, and this is where its refreshing originality comes from. She is as cheerful as a French comedy should be. Critics after the Paris premiere called the game "incisive", "refined" and the best game of the season. For one of his last plays, Father or Son, Clément Michel was nominated for the most prestigious French award for a playwright - the Molière Prize for Comedy. He is described as a contemporary Feydeau - the author of successful plays in our country, such as Cockroach in the Head, which is currently being performed in two Slovak theaters.
