About event
One tenement in Rimavská Sobota near our elementary school with Hungarian as the language of instruction. One apartment building, from which all the Roma musicians who are already established on the music scene of Central Europe came out. While I was kicking the ball against the wall, scales, halgats, čardás and a lot of Django rang out from the apartment buildings. Violist Vojtech ´Bélu´ Botoš and guitar player Zsolt Várady also come from that tenement, who will bring us traditional Roma table songs called halgatá, but also dance čardás and virtuoso compositions from a Budapest cafe.
Photographer, musician and DJ János Szabó R. will also arrive from Budapest, who will prepare a selection of Roma and Hungarian music from the last thirty years.
