About event

🇨🇿
The production Endemité: stories of disappearance / Ufer des Verschwindes has a double form. Based on the text, which the authors Dagmar Fričová (A studio Rubín) and Matthias Naumann (Futur II conjuktiv) wrote together, two completely different productions were created. One at A studio Rubín in Prague and the other in Berlin at Theater unterm Dach.
We present both as part of the off program of the Prague Theater Festival of the German Language.

The lakes are shrinking, the shores are widening, villages are reappearing and an endemic fish is starting to speak. As the climate changes and the landscape changes, there are conflicts between generations. A girl on her way to the forest is looking for a way to stop the disaster after all.

Theaterkollaborativ Futur II Konjunktiv tells absurd, almost fairy-tale stories of people on disappearing waters. Inspired by research on the lakes of Brandenburg, Lusatia and ski resorts in the Ore Mountains, fact and fiction intertwine to create a reality that could not be more urgent. A fantastic story about the end of the world as we know it, unfolding in slow motion before our eyes, revolves around helplessness, the desire for unchanged "normality" and the question of how to behave responsibly in this situation. In absurd-comic, but also magical-realistic meetings, failure and the establishment of communication is always in the center of attention.

Author Matthias Naumann and Czech author Dagmar Fričová created a theater text in the joint writing process, which will almost simultaneously premiered in various productions in Berlin and Prague.

🇩🇪
While the climate is changing and the landscape is changing, conflicts are breaking between generations.

In absurd-comic, but also magical-realistic encounters, the focus is always on failure and production of communication.

In a joint writing process, the author Matthias Naumann and the Czech writer Dagmar Fričová developed a theater text , der in unterschiedchen Inszenierungen in Berlin und in Prag fast zeitgleich zur Uraufführung wird gebracht wird.

Gespielt in Deutsch mit tschechischen Untertiteln. / We play in German with Czech subtitles.
