Ukrajinská lidová polyfonie - Workshop

The FFUK Music Association, along with the Institute of East European Studies, organizes the workshop of Ukrainian folk polyphony. The songs were made spontaneously: everyone sang as best they could, and the curly gardens of wild polyphony grew up. Stories told in these songs are striking with their drama and sometimes absurdity and always contain strong contradictory feelings. At the workshop we will try to portray the most beautiful examples of such songs and sing them double or three voice. We will listen to the voices connecting to Moll and Dura's chords, rehearse the solo parts of the songs and we will take care of the production of strong, natural sound. Music education is not a condition of participation, it is enough to be able to repeat the melody.
