About event
We read the book Wolf
At the Ukrainian book club we will meet to talk about the collection of stories VLK from the author and soldier Kostikantyn Čabal. Nine stories, sometimes heroic, sometimes moving or sad, but above all simple and truthful impresses with a special blend of youthful naivety and harsh realism. Unlike many other descriptions of life in the first line, the wolf is not a compilation of revealing a blogger on Facebook, a chronicle from the diary or a collection of interesting but unrelated episodes. For example, the central and longest story Wolf maps the normal life of a soldier in the trench, the story of Google is a sad-experienced story about artillery who want to hit the goal, but first they have to pursue how to focus it. The stories of the field, the strongest story of the book, talks about a soldier who dies alone in the middle of a summer field whose fragrance reminds him of his childhood and youth. We will also welcome your ideas for other titles.
