At the May Book Club we read the poetic collection of the Czech-Ukrainian poetry of Iryna Him: How to make up the sickness.
The book is chronological series Our daily experience with the world when events are hit by such unexpected and radical events that they need to be grasped again. It is the search for a form and words for not yet mentioned. And yet it is such a palpable personal - physical. But personal is also social, the body is a projection canvas of the world: if there is a war - in any sense - it runs everywhere. How to deal with all this? How to find strength to find yourself? It's a search through writing. And through reading reading, we are looking for together. She graduated from theoretical physics, she feeds as a programmer, but she considers literature to be the main work. of the sickness (2024). In the collection of how to make up in the illness, he focuses on war in Ukraine and its own cancer.
