A little about me from my website www.ukulelistka.cz
My name is Marcela Brožová and I have been playing the ukulele for more than 13 years. Singing and playing instruments have accompanied me since early childhood, but I only got to know the ukulele during my studies in Pilsen. I completed a master's degree in Music Education and Czech Language Teaching for secondary schools at the University of West Bohemia. As a singer, I have gone through many genres, which I also use in playing the ukulele, during concert performances and during lessons. I love jazz and Latin music.
I teach individually and in groups mainly in Prague and the surrounding area, and I also lecture all-day and multi-day workshops in various cities throughout the Czech Republic and abroad. I also teach a combination of ukulele and guitar, ukulele and singing, or groups of players of different levels, which I then lead as a small band.
I regularly collaborate with the Czech Ukulele Festival and the Czech Ukulele Institute, for which I conduct workshops for beginners.< br/>Through these institutions, I continue to educate myself with world-class players such as James Hill, Kimo Hussey, Peter Moss, Ukulelezaza, Andy Eastwood and others.
I participated in the creation of the Czech textbook Ukulele step by step (2016) by Ben Anderson.
In May 2022, I appeared on the program Incognito on Slovak TV JOJ.
In August 2023, I accepted an invitation as musical guest on Nova TV's Weekend Breakfast program.
In addition, I am also involved in music production (Kukokli festival, singer Mirka Novak) and language proofreading of Czech lyrics.
