Unorthodox The death metal group ULCERATE, originating from Auckland, New Zealand, was founded in 2000 by guitarist Michael Hoggard and drummer Jamie Saint Merat. Their original intention was to create dark, oppressive death metal - a vision that subsequently evolved into an innovative, tuned approach incorporating atmospheric and moody elements. ULCERATE's art is characterized by a whirlwind of metal guitars, thunderous, complex drums and guttural roars that create an overwhelming sense of impending doom. And now they are rushing to Prague - they will bring their seventh album "Cutting The Throat Of God" to the Black Dog club. The evening will be joined by Venezuelan black metallers SELBST.
SELBST was founded in 2010 in Venezuela by multi-instrumentalist/lyricist N and singer Frozen. Shortly after, they released their first demo "Veritas Filia Temporis". In 2018, N became the main vocalist of SELBST, and the project turned into a full-fledged concert band. In 2020, the band released their second album "Relatos de Angustia" - a deep and challenging record that rewards repeated listening. SELBST released their third album "Despondency Chord Progressions" this year.
