For fans of hard and intensive metal sound, the Ultima Ratio is one of the first addresses. In 2025, the celebrated tour comes back to Pratteln. And the current line-up has it: the headliner slot occupies the Gothenborger Melodic-Death icon Dark Tranquility, which in 2024 delivered an album with "Endtime Signals" that hit the charts in the 35-year band history. The top-class Special Guests Soen and Equilibrium as well as the celebrated opener IoTunn complement this metal night for Geniesser.
Dark Tranquness are among the most important figureheads of the Gothenborg school of the Melodic Death Metal. The combo around front man Mikel Stanne, which was awarded the renowned Swedish Music Prize Grammis in the Hardrock/Metal category, has been delivering albums at the highest level for three and a half decades. Despite an almost completely renewed formation, Dark Tranquility retained their impressive constancy and with the current opus "Endtime Signals" in the summer of 2024 reuss in the international charts. With 5th place in the CH hit parade, 6th place in Germany and 7th place in Austria, the best placements in the long career were by far.
