About event

While a few years ago it seemed that only a few "insiders" were talking about art in the public space, today, on the contrary, it seems that literally everyone has something to say about it. What does the Černý Máj case and the petition against the management of the National Gallery and AVU say about us? How did Milan Knížák, a former rebel of Czech culture, become an artistic dictator? Why did the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize, which is supposed to support budding creators, develop into an elitist enterprise? And is it true in art that money doesn't stink?

Jan H. Vitvar, art critic and head of the culture section of the Respekt weekly, will discuss current topics and events in the art world and his new book Art, which is understood by everyone, with Jakub Sedláček, editor-in-chief of Paseka.
