What does it mean in the relationship of contemporary art and church?
Is the art of meeting others? Together, let's think about the cooperation of artists and children, seniors or homeless people and gallery education, participatory art and how art helps to build communities. It is an offer, an invitation, not self -conservation. Therefore, it does not despise others if it is not adopted. We do not like the word service because we are afraid of losses. But the service is the basic criterion for entering heaven. Even today and here. The largest should serve the most. is a gallery pedagogue and curator of contemporary fine art. As one of the few in Slovakia, he has been mapping the theme of sacral in contemporary Slovak art for a long time. She is a curator of dozens of thematic and monographic exhibitions and author of monographs of several artists and art publications for children. It was carried out by an educational program for the Schools of Arts Clothing (2006 - 2021, GMB), a project of mediators and children's mediators in Kunsthalle Bratislava (2017 - 2021, KHB), for which the White Kocka awarded the Council of Gallery of Slovakia (2017, 2018). In the years 2011 - 2018, in cooperation with P. Leopold Slanink SJ in the entrance part of the Jesuit Chapel of the Seven -Sorrowed Virgin Mary in Piešťany, the project of the art of the spirit, to which the publication was published. He is currently curative in the Ernest Zmeták Gallery in Nové Zámky and the Central Slovak Gallery in Banská Bystrica. At the Academy of Performing Arts, the Gallery Education lectures externally.
Dr. Pavol Hrabovecký, S.T.D.
is a priest of the Archdiocese of Košice. He teaches fundamental theology and ecumenism at the Faculty of Theology in Košice Catholic University in Ružomberok. He is professionally involved in the eclesology, dialogue between theology and culture, the new apologetics, J. H. Newman and G. K. Chesterton. He graduated from postgraduate studies in Washington, D. C., The Catholic University of America (S.T.L, 2011) and in Rome at Pontificia Università S. TomMaso d´Aquino, "Angelicum" (S.T.D., 2014). In 2015-2020 he was editor-in-chief of Verbum magazine, Christian culture magazine and since 2024 he has been an editor of the International Catholic Review Communio. Company.
