UNDERNEATH
There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.
- Leonard Cohen
Cover is shelter. Cover is escape. Cover is means to an end. Cover is care. Cover is a shame. Cover is fear. Cover is lust. Cover protects from cold, heat, wind, dust, touch, harm. Cover is hope of seeing the beauty. Cover is invisibility.
Objects, bodies, intentions, skins, buildings, flaws, plants, desires, emotions, holes, thoughts, scars, pleasures. Cover is neither good nor bad. Cover is just a cover. The important thing is this: what's under cover, is alive, in it's distinct, diverse ways. And when there's no crack, the light shines from within.
UNDER
Everything is broken, so light can get in.
- Leonard Cohen
Covering is a refuge. Covering up is evasion. Covering up is a means. Covering up is caring. Covering up is a shame. Covering up is fear. Covering up is lust. Covering protects – from cold, heat, light, dust, touch, injury. Covering up is hoping for beauty. Covering is invisibility.
Objects, bodies, intentions, skin, buildings, imperfections, plants, desires, emotions, holes, thoughts, scars, pleasures. Covering up is neither good nor bad. A cover is just a cover. The point is: what is covered is alive, in its own, diverse ways. And when there is no crack, the light shines from within.
