About event
During National Socialism, millions of people had to do forced labor under inhumane conditions. Forms of modern forced labor and labor exploitation still exist in Germany today - seemingly unnoticed, but right among us.
A documentary film (20 minutes) will be shown at the beginning. A panel discussion highlights historical and current structures of unfree labor, shows differences and connections and asks: How do I recognize forced labor today - and what can we do about it? Discuss with experts from education, counseling and human rights work!
Podium:
Daniela Geppert, Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor
Kim Weidenberg, Service Office against Labor Exploitation, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking
Anna Schmitt, Advice on Labor Law & Forced Labor (BEMA)
Moderation:
Tobias Seitz, Institute for Human Rights
