Set the alarm! Such a spectacle is not repeated! 👉 On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in the morning, the dazzling Venus in the sky will approach the no less striking Jupiter. 👈
There are no easier planets to observe than Venus and Jupiter. Even in the heart of the city without ideal lighting conditions remain distinctive and striking objects. The meeting will be easily observable even without binoculars, low above the eastern horizon against the background of the stars of the constellation Gemini. Their angular distance in the sky will be less than the diameter of two monthly discs (0.9 angle degree).
Such tight meetings are a rare opportunity, when we can observe the two brightest planets with a telescope at the same time, nicely side by side. Even in a small device you will see Jupiter's "striped" atmosphere and four orbiting months around it. They look like shining points - and that August morning it will be to the east of Jupiter Io and Kallisto, to the west of Europa and Ganymied. Venus will appear to be a small "month between the full moon and the last neighborhood" for a change. In short, it will show a partial phase.
👉 The real moon at that moment can be found on the opposite side of the sky and at the top left of him and planet Saturn. In addition, this will be decorated with flying artificial satellites and fleeting meteors from Perseid swarm. 👈
