The Mexican community in the Czech Republic, as well as society at large, is called upon to express solidarity with Enrique Daniel.
Enrique Daniel Pintor Caballero is a student from Morelia who recently visited the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, during his stay in the country, he developed meningitis and bacterial meningococcal sepsis, which has seriously affected his health. As a result of this infection, he has had to have his leg amputated.
Enrique Daniel arrived with medical insurance, however, the $100,000 insurance has already been exceeded. Daniel's family is now forced to pay the equivalent of 500,000 Mexican pesos to the hospital, plus the cost of renting a ventilator and a room in the intensive care unit, an expense that amounts to approximately 80 to 100,000 pesos per day.
