About event
These short stories explore two very different women’s lives in 19th century France, both of whom struggle against the limitations of their circumstances.

-- “Butterball” [“Boule de Suif” or “Ball of Fat”] is a sympathetic portrayal of a prostitute's mistreatment at the hands of a cold-hearted bourgeoisie
